us

We are Dave and Adrienne.

In 2015 at the age of 55, we left the life of work behind us. The day after we retired and, with just two small backpacks containing all our belongings, we boarded a one-way flight from The Netherlands to Asia.IMG_0158

We travel slowly, following the sun and staying in countries for weeks and sometimes even months (visas allowing).

The intention is to travel for as long as we enjoy it and along the way we may even find somewhere to eventually put down roots. So far though, settling down is definitely not on the agenda!

    Hi guys
    Looks like you are the European version of us. Your story sound about exactly the same with one exception; It’s commonplace for Europeans to do this but here in the USA it’s work, work, work, work, work until you die or become a Wal Mart greeter. Most Yanks could never do thsi and many are brainwashed into thinking the rest of teh world is dirty and crime ridden. Their loss; our gain !!

    We met other Dutch couples in our past travels and found you guys to be very interesting. I’d live to follow your blog and keep in touch via email. WE’d love to meet you somewherealong the way so let’s keep in touch !!

      We are actually British, but have always been expats here in Holland and before that in Germany.
      Will continue to follow your blog and watch your progress with MM2H. Have you bought the plane ticket yet ?

      We are going to Canada for a month or so in May and June before buying the plane ticket to allow the MM2H some extra time to begin processing. Should be in Penang by late June. Please do keep in touch
